Mary Hardesty Realty Presents the Balboa Island Artwalk Sunday, May 21st, 2017

Beautiful Outdoor Art Show on Balboa Island, CA,
Over a Mile of Art & Live Music!


The Balboa Island Artwalk is the premier showcase for talented local artists and marks the start of the Island’s summer season. Celebrating its 21st Anniversary, the Artwalk will take place on Sunday, May 18th, 2017 from 9am to 5pm along the South Bayfront Promenade of Balboa Island. Admission is free. 
This fine art show features 100 artists exhibiting paintings, fine jewelry, blown glass, sculpture, and photography. Spectators will enjoy live music throughout the day on five stages along the walk. Performing musicians include the Retros, Don Ross Duo, Garry Gould, Rick Sherman and Alan Remington, Jim Roberts, and Grant Peacock.  Local restaurants will be open to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Balboa Island Artwalk is presented by Mary Hardesty Realty and sponsored by the Balboa Island Improvement Association.

BALBOA ISLAND PARADE

Parade begins at 11:00am-Party starts right after the parade is over!
An Island tradition filled with Children on Bikes, Island Dogs,
Decorated Golf Carts and Floats, Vintage Cars, Keystone Cops, Drill Teams,
Marching Bands, Local Dignitaries and much more!
Come for the parade and stay for the after party featuring music, dancing and a beer garden at the end of the parade in front of the VI!
So come on down to Marine Avenue and help us celebrate!
Bridge closes at 10:45 am, so get here early.

June 9 - 11, 2017
Fourth Annual Newport Beach Wooden Boat Festival:
The Balboa Yacht Club is the go-to place for seeing the best wooden hull boats built from the 1920s to 2000, including legendary 100 foot Electra, sport fishing boats, canoes and watercraft of all sizes and shapes. Vote your favorite in each People’s Choice Awards category. There will be live music by Dave Stephens Band, food, renowned marine artists, the Knot Guy, and marine-related exhibits. The Festival is from 10 am to 5:30 pm Saturday, with the Heritage Parade Sunday morning at 10:30 am followed by the Heritage Sail By. Admission is free to the public who can park at 1600 Corporate Plaza in Corona del Mar and ride the complimentary shuttle to the festivities on the bayfront at 1801 Bayside Drive, Corona del Mar. Or, ride a water taxi to the event from several points throughout Newport Harbor. OLD GLORY BOAT PARADE, JULY 4 NEWPORT HARBOR

The American Legion 4th of July Boat Parade California’s largest and one of the nation’s most well - established Patriotic boat parade, Newport Harbor Christmas Boat parade. The boat parade sees over 100+ vessels cruise through the harbor of Newport Beach, CA.

Date: Tuesday, 4th of July, 2017
Time: 1 pm - 5 pm
Where: Newport Harbor/Balboa Island
Price: Free!
American Legion Yacht Club - The parade will form at 12:30 off Collins Island (see Parade Map enclosed). The Harbor Patrol Fire Boat, followed by the VIP Boat, will lead the parade. The parade will begin promptly at 1300 (1:00 pm).

We love our houses here on Balboa Island and would prefer that they don’t burn down - so PLEASE don’t bring any fireworks to the Island - there is plenty to see at the Dunes!!!
